Bangkok#4 Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

We still remember our experience to this place, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market**$$. Initially we planned to take a whole day trip from Bangkok to the floating market, then the tiger temple. But we read some comments in the hostel guestbook indicating the trip to tiger temple would take another 1&half hour and there's not much to see. So we decided to go only the market. Another reason was because we waited for the travel bus for more than an hour =.= Our precious time wasted! Yea, Thai ppl is never on time.

The TAT (tourism office) agent gave us the wrong information, asking us to wait at the lobby at 7.30am instead of 7am which made us miss the van. So we waited at the lobby from 7.15am to almost 9am. When we got into the van, a tourist in the van told us that he has been waiting on this van since 6.30am, Wow!! How does the Thai travel agent plan? They took 2&half hours to gather all of us in this van, really bad service. Nevermind!! The van is hot and not comfortable at all, we were sweating for 2hours before reaching the market. The cost for the floating market is BHT600 booking from TAT, u guys can actually find much cheaper tours from outside agents. U can negotiate to BHT450 per pax for floating market + tiger temple. Aaargh, how very unfair~~

Finally we're here.. But only an hour to walk around... We took as many pictures we can.. but no time to SHOP.. lol..

Honestly, not much things to see here. It was a good experience though as this is our 1st time seeing ppl do 'floating' business, majority of them sell fruits, others sell souvenir, food & drinks, they even sell beer. Goods here are more expensive than Bangkok.

We tasted mango sticky rice again... What a lovely dessert!! But it is more expensive (BHT50)compared with Bangkok (BHT30)..
