Sandboarding @ Lancelin, Perth's Kings Park

Waking up in the cozy little cabin, had breakfast of soup and bread, we are ready for today’s sand boarding game! Before that, we visited the nearby Lake Thetis. It was a very beautiful lake, with living stromatolites (oldest known form of life on earth). Look at the beautiful reflection of the sky~ There’s  a walking trail around the lake, there’s no entrance fee to this lake.

One hour drive from Cervantes, we reach the small fishing town of Lancelin. It is also the famous spot for SAND BOARDING*****. As we get into the town, we got our sand board at a shop located in a residential area. There are also some other shops renting sand boards like Gull service station but they were all leased out. So better be early if it’s a public holiday or else what a disappointment! Mostly the rental price is $20 for 2 hours and $50 deposit. There’s no sign board around town to the sand dunes, so will have to ask the locals there for directions. It’s just few minutes from town. There’s a parking area for cars, if you have 4WD then can just drive into sand dune and pick the spot you like.

WOW our first time trying sand boarding, it was damn fun! Exciting and scary, just like riding a roller coaster. HAHA. The climbing up is the one that exhaust us for sure. We rented 2 boards for the 6 of us which is good enough, since we need some time to recharge! But maybe next time we’ll take 4 boards instead =) yea, next time. . .

After a loooonnng training session, we only dare to stand up surfing on the dunes. Before that we were sitting or laying on the board . . LOL . . . Of course it’s easier than surfing in the sea, but still it’s scary from so high up!
Freshened up at the town’s public toilet, we got our lunch at Gull and proceed to PERTH. It was about one and half hour drive, went straight to the famous Apple Strudel, Corica. =.= it closes every Sunday. P&A shall come back one day!

Then to famous King’s Park*****. It is a huge park with good picnic spots and great view of Perth city. We spent a lot of time looking at the wildflowers of Australia and taking pictures after pictures =P

Night view of Perth city
When our stomach started growling, we went to city to search for some good food. Didn’t do much research on Perth’s food, we ended up turning round and round the city to look for food! Cause it’s a Sunday, most restaurants aren’t open or they close early. Even the famous Greenhouse Restaurant. =.= In the end, we found a restaurant in the Melbourne Hotel. Haha, turn up they cook really yummy food! We had scotch fillet, spicy fettuccine, pizza and chicken chop. It was all really yummy~~ The last meal of our seven days trip, aaahh… Good ending =)

Seoul#10 N Seoul Tower

Back from Nami, considering the perfect weather today, we decided to go to the famous --> N Seoul Tower***** Be sure to go N Seoul on a clear day! Before that, some korean food to fill our stomachs!
Above: Peter's dad eagerly waiting for his grilled chicken.

A: I've always wanted to try this korean snack, Bungeoppang (carp-bread) W1000 for 3pieces, with sweet red bean paste inside. Erm, the red bean not sweet enough though, else it would be a good snack =P

Our dinner at a restaurant in Insadong, this time we tried the korean stew, pork chop with cheese and curry pork. Taste average...

To get to N Seoul, we came out of Dongguk University station [line4] exit 6 and took a bus ride up, which cost only W800. Another option would be taking the cable car ride for W7000.We reach the park around 7pm, and from the bus station we have to walk uphill to the tower. Pheww, exhausting but good exercise!

The landmark of Seoul --> N Seoul Tower*****

Sunset @ N Seoul Tower

There's a teddy bear museum at the tower's basement. We gave up on the museum and observatory deck (where you can view Seoul even higher up) for the sunset and night view picture snapping. If you're keen for the museum and observatory deck, they do sell a combo ticket at 20% discount.

♥ So many LOVE locks~~ it's the tradition here, where couple lock their padlocks to the tower fence and throw away the keys, symbolizing eternal love... lovely! ♥
♥ An idea which is practiced in many parts of the world ♥

Seoul @ night

So COLD up here...

P: What happen to the tower? Hehe...

Our dessert at Caffe bene, Patbingsu***** (shave ice with red bean, rice cake, peanut and condensed milk) great combination, the best shave ice we ever tasted! YUMS!! Must try in Seoul...

Dongguk University Station also offers many restaurant selling Jokbal (boiled pig feet), just walk further down from exit 3 of the station. Comes in a pricey tag, but worth a try. We passed this offer up as we were not hungry, and the portion is big! There are boiled pig feet selling in Namdaemun Market too.

Seoul#6 Korean BBQ & Cheonggyecheon Stream

Aaahhh..... Korean BBQ$$***** --> must try in Korea. Really good meat wrapped in fresh lettuce, dipped with korean bean paste sauce... satisfaction.......

Can find these bbq restaurants around myeongdong, namdaemun market area. Actually almost anywhere :D We ordered the 3 layer pork (samgyeopsal 삼겹살), costs W11,000 per pax. They don't serve one serving, minimum to order is 2 servings cause they come with free side dishes and lettuce.

After the hearty meal, we went to walk along the Cheonggyecheon Stream [청계천]****. It is a unique river, as the government spend efforts into positioning it as a place for expression of art and culture. Lanterns all light up, it was so beautiful and romantic :)

There was quite a history to this stream we're standing there. Imagine its transformation from this:
