Singapore#7 SentosaIsland

We took monorail from Vivo City to Sentosa Island****. The sunset here was not bad even on this man-made beach.

There are a lot of things to do here as it is an entertainment haven and soon it will draw more crowds to its new casinos. The attractions here are pricy, hence we chose the budget attraction, 'Songs of the Sea'***$ which sounds good to us. It turned out to be quite a spectacular show and ended with a fireworks display. The picture below shows the stage for the performance.
The night view of the island is all lighten up. We only spend half a day here which is not enough.

Singapore#6 VivoCity

Vivo City***, the largest shopping mall in Singapore, just next to Sentosa Island.

We found this interesting shop, National Geographic**** in Vivo City. Peter was very excited as I love the NG magazine and normally I see this type of picture in the magazine but the shop shows them in different way. If we have more time, I will be here for whole day.

We had our lunch here, Wood Restaurant$$$. Nice restaurant and nice food. We took advantage of the cheaper set lunch offer with classy and comfortable dining experience. Wonderful!!!

Singapore#5 NightSafari

We really feel like entry a jungle, very excited. Night Safari***** really five star tourist spot. And the animal show is interesting and creative, MUST GO!!!

Bongo Burgers***** is a restaurant in Night Safari. Angie shows good sign with smile on the face!! Yup, the burger$$ is really good and BIG. The wait

er and waitress are very professional as they dress like zoo rangers.

Singapore#4 ClarkeQuay&RafflesHotel

Clarke Quay, it was silent in the morning and afternoon time. But here is very happening in the night time as there are many river-side restaurant, lounge and club$$$.

The guy behind us is Stamford Raffles who found this island many years ago. And...

...people build a 'Raffles Hotel' by named after the Singapore Founder.

This hotel is very exquisite. It is too sad as we can't visit this hotel even we was just outside the hotel entrance because only hotel residents are allowed to entry the hotel.

Singapore#3 ChinaTown

Chinatown or Niu Zhe Shui(牛车水)*****, is a MUST GO place in S'pore. There are a lots of flea markets and shops selling souvenirs and chinese products.

S'pore is a famous 'fine' city as you will be fined for eating chewing gum, smoking, throwing rubbish, etc... Be smart if you want to do it :D

Angie found her chinese name, '安吉' at a stall while Peter's chinese name is '彼得'.
p/s which is not the right translation for Angie =.=

This is a beautiful chinese temple at Chinatown.

Singapore#2 LittleIndia

Little India***. Reach this place by MRT (Little India station), we had our Indian breakfast$ (roti tosai&nasi briyani) which tasted quite good. Walked around this little street with many temples and shops. Nothing particular to see as we have the same in Malaysia.

Singapore#1 City&MerlionPark

SINGAPORE , Go go go!!! This is P&A's 1st destination for our journey. It's just below Johor, Malaysia. Small country with high skyscrapers dominating its skyline.

The trademark of Singapore --> Merlion***** (half lion, half fish). Beautiful view from Fullerton Park with the Esplanade as background. Esplanade is the country's performing arts venue.

Each year, people from neighbouring countries (like us :P) would come to S'pore for Christmas celebration as there are many events and x'mas decor competition among shopping malls. But this year (2008), decorations were just alright, nothing exaggerated. Well, probably due to the economic crisis that year.

Our souvenir --> Nike's Singapore T-shirt!
